Annual-Fund-Pic2.jpgOne goal of Phi Mu Foundation is for every member of Phi Mu to become a member of the Foundation. Once a Phi Mu contributes a total of $50, she is a member of the Foundation. Phi Mu needs its members to establish a lifetime commitment to financially supporting Phi Mu through the Foundation. Phi Mu Foundation is 100% self-supported by its members.

There are many avenues for members to support Phi Mu. There are several annual giving programs; the Annual Fund; Fidelity Society for planned gifts and bequests; the Building Endowment Fund; and the Heart and Hand Fund to list just a few.

Fundraising for the Annual Fund is a top priority for the Foundation. The Annual Fund is used to implement and administer the grants and programs of the Foundation. Funds raised through the Annual Fund are also placed in the Foundation Endowment Fund to grow and provide future support of Phi Mu Foundation objectives.

Direct mail appeals, phonathon campaigns and electronic solicitations are among the methods used to ask for donations from Phi Mus. The most popular appeal is the annual mailing of Phi Mu return address labels to donors and potential donors.

Members are asked to donate regularly to Phi Mu Foundation. Even giving a modest amount gives sisters the satisfaction of knowing they are helping sisters and begins a “giving habit” that lasts a lifetime. Consistent giving is simple and important. Gifts may be made by check, credit card or EFT. Gifts to Foundation are fully tax-deductible as allowed under income tax laws.
