Fidelity Society
Sisters who remember Phi Mu Foundation in their will, life insurance or other form of planned gift become members in the Fidelity Society.
In addition to bequests of cash, Fidelity Society members have planned to leave the Foundation appreciated assets such as stocks and mutual funds; life insurance; annuities and trusts; or gifts of real estate or other property.
A Phi Mu who has already honored Phi Mu Foundation by making it a beneficiary of her estate will immediately become a member of Fidelity Society. Please submit a copy of the appropriate estate planning documents to the staff to be added to the Fidelity Society roll.
Please contact the Development Coordinator at 770-632-2127 if you have questions about the Fidelity Society or need information about how to establish a planned gift.
Building Endowment Fund
Phi Mu built a permanent National Headquarters building in 2005. A Building Endowment Fund has been established to guarantee funds are available to maintain and refurbish the Headquarters as needed. Donors may make contributions designated for the Building Endowment Fund.
Heart and Hand Fund
Foundation provides support to sisters who experience tragedy. The Heart and Hand Fund provides emergency grants for collegiate and alumnae members in good standing who need assistance as a result of a natural disaster declared by the federal government. Grant amounts typically range from $250 - $1,000. Grants are provided to assist members with basic necessities such as food, clothing, housing, immediate medical care, transportation or funeral expenses. In addition, education expenses, including books and supplies, may be eligible for assistance. Chapter dues and obligations are not eligible expenses. Donors may make contributions designated for the Heart and Hand Fund.
Parent Honor Gifts
Graduation to Foundation is a special program of the Foundation to recognize graduating members. Parents are asked to make a donation in their daughter’s honor to make her a member of Foundation. Donations typically range from $50 to $500. As the daughters move into the alumnae phase of their Phi Mu membership, they will have started on the road of faithful support of Phi Mu.
Phi Honor Gifts are made by parents of women who pledge Phi Mu. Parents are asked to honor their daughters’ initiation into Phi Mu with a gift to the Foundation. These women will be members of the Foundation for their Phi Mu lifetime and will grow as donors as they grow in Phi Mu.
