InternshipsSeveral internships are administered through Foundation. The internship programs provide members the opportunity to gain professional skills and experience.
~ Children’s Miracle Network Internship ~The “Happy” Parker Lowden Children’s Miracle Network Internship is offered to a Phi Mu collegian. The internship provides a $500 stipend for 150 hours of service in connection with a Children’s Miracle Network Development Office, Children’s Miracle Network hospital or the Children’s Miracle Network National Headquarters. It is an opportunity to design an internship to meet the needs of the Children’s Miracle Network unit and the professional growth needs of the Phi Mu member. Service may take place at any time during the year. Candidates for internships will be reviewed twice each year. Applications are due March 1 and November 1. ~ Foundation Internship ~Phi Mu Foundation provides the opportunity for a collegiate member to work, during the summer, at the National Headquarters. Job responsibilities include Convention preparation, project management, program development and operational assistance. Housing is not provided. ~ Project HOPE Internship ~The Dorothy Perkins Campbell/Project HOPE Intern Fund, in memory of Ruth Buran Hauschild, is a summer internship for a rising senior to spend a four to six week period at Project HOPE’s Headquarters in Millwood, Virginia, or any domestic HOPE location.
